Amongst the tools we created\u00a0was a\u00a0<em>Synchronizer<\/em>, a patch that allows one to visualize (using <a href=\"http:\/\/bachproject.net\">bach<\/a>) the content of\u00a0mono soundfiles and to graphically alter the pitch and onset information\u2014aligning voices for chorales, retuning to microtonal grids, applying incremental stretches to create a melting mensural canon&#8230;<\/p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_ffLRvq0fkY?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<p>Behind\u00a0each of these voices is a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/imtr.ircam.fr\/imtr\/MuBu\">mubu<\/a>\u00a0buffer that dynamically readjusts to manipulations in the notation window, creating breakpoint functions that\u00a0pliot the time stretch and pitch shift parameters of SuperVP\u2014a phase vocoder which can be implemented in real time, as a useful compositional tool, or applied offline for a higher-quality rendering.
